SFA and Gallagher Investigating Comprehensive Professional Liability (E&O) Insurance Program
In today’s business environment it can be difficult to find Professional Liability (E&O) insurance that is affordable, and offers the desired amount of flexibility and coverage. The Steel Framing Alliance is working with Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, a division of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., the world’s 4th largest insurance brokerage, on the potential to introduce a comprehensive Professional Liability (E&O) insurance program that would offer a more cost-effective alternative for the Professional Members of the SFA.

Last year the SFA helped A. J. Gallagher & Co. to begin developing a comprehensive construction insurance program to the Western US and based on the positive response are continuing to work toward launching a nation-wide roll-out of this program later in 2008. This program should also give SFA members one more tool to help meet their business needs.

SFA and Gallagher are conducting a survey to develop a better understanding of the insurance demographics and capacity requirements of the SFA professional membership. The information gathered will provide them with quantifiable data that can be used to negotiate with insurance underwriters on behalf of professional members of the Steel Framing Alliance, and produce a structured program with lower premiums and broader coverage and limits.
