SFA to Sponsor Steel University in Alabama
The Steel Framing Alliance will sponsor an abbreviated version of its Steel University program for secondary and post-secondary SkillsUSA instructors in Birmingham, Ala. The six-hour seminar will take place on Feb. 21 and is being hosted by the Resource Center for Technology, a nonprofit group that works on training and curriculum with Alabama career technical instructors.

In addition to an overview of codes and standards for cold-formed steel, the technical school instructors will receive an introduction to tools and equipment along with some hands-on experience. The featured presenters will be Danny Feazell, President and CEO of Premium Steel Building Systems in Roanoke, Va., and Nader Elhajj, an engineer and technical consultant for FrameCAD Solutions Limited. A nonprofit group founded 14 years ago, the Resource Center for Technology works with the Alabama career technical instructors in the areas of training and curriculum.
