Lumber Market Report |
Trading in framing
lumber quieted compared with the previous week as buyers
digested recent purchases, and secondaries pushed to
pare their inventories before the long holiday weekend.
Prices were flat to mixed, with more items showing vulnerability
but some also moving higher on limited supplies. The
Random Lengths Framing Lumber Composite Price held at
$285, the high for the year to date. Secondaries were
aggressive sellers, and rollers often undercut mill
quotes by double digits.
