MARKET PLACE

Random Lengths Lumber Market Report
Framing lumber prices were mixed, with weather and production levels the dominant factors driving regional trends. On the demand side, the West showed the most spark as mild temperatures spurred steady sales in California, while key markets in the desert Southwest also stirred a bit. Reduced production helped keep supplies balanced with demand in some regions, but the restart of a few mills undermined the tone in others. The Random Lengths Framing Lumber Composite Price held at $238 for a third straight week. www.randomlengths.com.
