Assisted Living Projects Continue to Show Strong Growth in Greater Toronto Area
For the past decade, and especially during the last five years, assisted living projects have been going up all over the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Once considered more of a down-scaled industry, assisted living construction has become big business and a significant source of rental income to many large corporations. While most of these construction projects range between four and six stories high, there are a few climbing as many as 11 stories.

And as aging baby boomers around the GTA also continue to look to simply their lives now that their kids have moved out or gone off to college, the demand for mixed use space is also continuing to climb.

Meanwhile, with single family, low-rise and high-rise condominium segments continuing to dominate in the region, all of this adds up to plenty of opportunity for the cold-formed steel framing industry throughout the GTA.
