SFA Launches “Steel
is the New Green” Campaign
While many people recognize steel’s
recycled content as its hallmark environmental attribute,
few are aware of steel’s many other green benefits –
and why the Steel Framing Alliance (SFA) has launched its
“Steel is the New Green” campaign that features
several communications devices including editorial, collateral
and advertisements.
The Alliance kicked off the new campaign at the National
Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) International Builders
Show™ in Orlando last month with a full-page, full-color
ad insertion in the February edition of NAHB’s
Green Builder magazine. With several insertions scheduled
in industry trade publications throughout the year, the ad
promotes steel as a recognized green building material steel
that is also energy-efficient, durable and long lasting. And
in the spirit of the strong green building emphasis at this
year’s IBS, the SFA produced “Steel is the New
Green” T-shirts for its member companies exhibiting
in Steel Central to wear during the show’s “Green
Day,” a day NAHB dedicated for green building, and to
give away as prizes.
Beginning this month, the new ad is also scheduled for several
insertions in Construction Specifier
magazine. Click
